words carry you
so let your words be your vehicle
to take you to your happy place
words create
so let your words paint the picture
of the world you want
speak what you desire
speak as a ladder
you will climb on
to get to your peaceful home
words carry you
words elevate
or crush
make a choice
and choose daily
choose several times a day
choose as often as needed
choose as often as necessary
to stay on the path you chose
because choice is your birthright
your societal roles aren't written in stone
and even if they were, water can smooth stones
let your soul rise and fly
let this life be what you want it to be
your societal roles can be dropped like clothing you no longer wear
you do not have to
you aren't obligated
beware of judgement from others
as they reflect your own
and when that happens
the weight can take you down
that stone where the "commandments" are written will pin you down
and shackle your birthrights under its weight
free yourself little bird
you have wings for a reason
the cage is open
fly out
no one is holding you but yourself
it's time now
go play
life is waiting for you
this is the time
go be happy
it is your birth right
question no more
fly high
